Drawing is a way to expresses oneself and this can be done by everybody. It is not necessary that you have to be a professional artist to do it. And there are also ways in which you could learn how to draw.
To learn to draw is not an easy task. If you ask any professional artist, you will be told that learning to draw can take an entire lifetime. Well don’t despair, there are techniques available, which assist you in learning to draw and even improve your art fast, it will at the minimum enhance your amateur status, if not buff you up to a professional level. You would not know it but there are a lot of tricks that are involved in the art of drawing and these would only be know if they were told to you. Thus if you question an artist about his work, he would attribute his painting to the tricks that he learned in art school.
The human form and specifically the face is the first thing that I teach my student to draw. Once you are done with drawing the face, you will get a sense of accomplishment, and would be willing to move to more complicated tasks. To learn to draw the face; you would have to memorize its proportions first like for example the eyes are about one third of the way down the entire face, and the mouth and head are in a certain proportion. There is a slight variation in the proportions, not too large, and your journey to learn to draw is already on its way if you are able to notice these proportions.
There might be numerous reasons why people would want to learn to draw, and none of them would be wrong. A few of us would consider learning to draw flash animations, and these people got my full support. Flash is a good way to create simple animations without spending too much time and money like you had to do in the regular process and this is what makes it interesting to the artists. Well designing fashion could be another reason to learn to draw. Regardless of what kind of fashion designer you are a professional or someone who just makes clothes for yourself or your friends, you have to know how to draw. Your drawing ability would help you to bring out your thoughts prior to starting on the patterns, and this would help in saving time by getting things right the first time itself. Once you start exploring your talents with drawing you might just decide to go professional and there are many art schools that could help you with that. The thing you can do with art is limitless.
So no matter how good you are in drawing, you could probably explore your talent and do things that you thought were not possible. Thus finding new avenues to express yourself. |
